The Sundays Calendar — Sunday, the first day of the week for most, has been set aside as a day of rest, as “day of the sun” since ancient Egyptian times. It is a day of revitalization and reflection that marks the advent of a new cycle, a new week.
The design for this years calendar was based around simplicity and order. By striping away all text indicating day of the week and month the calendar design is left bare and muted. Every day is portrayed with the same value and simplicity, resulting in a monotony of numbers. Order was found through the introduction of hierarchy which highlights the start of each new cycle, the "day of the sun" or Sunday.
